Volunteers

We are grateful to have the help of many many volunteers assisting with various parts of this project, including field data collection, insect mounting, and stewardship. In addition to many of the SCB-TO executive members who are helping we have a few volunteers who have taken on specific roles. Read more about them here.

Volunteer Coordinator: Kristin Wazbinski

Kristin is a Master’s of Science (aquatic ecology, paleolimnology) currently working with Wildlife Preservation Canada as a Biologist aiding with at-risk pollinator surveys. If she’s not studying subfossil invertebrates in lake dirt or chasing bumblebees, she’s engaging in other interesting facets of ecology, singing with her choir, or snapping photographs around the GTA and abroad. She is excited to volunteer her time with the SCB, helping to survey for pollinators in nature and coordinate volunteers for field, lab, and stewardship opportunities with the “SCB goes Rouge” project in Rouge Park this summer.
