Corktown Common shoreline cleanup June 10th!

Please join us Sunday June 10th for a day of food, fun, and restoration in Corktown Common park at the mouth of the Don River!

From 10:00-10:30am we will have complimentary coffee, tea, and breakfast food. Please bring your reusable mug if you have one. At 10:30am, grab some gloves, data cards, and trash grabbers and join in on the cleanup fun! We provide cleanup materials, you just need to bring and your energy. The event will be running rain or shine so please bring suitable clothing and footwear.

Taking part in this cleanup will help quantify the amount of trash that goes into Lake Ontario from the Don as well as ensure our parks are beautiful and safe. The results of this cleanup will be linked to previous cleanups and other ongoing efforts to cleanup our waterfront.

We would like to thank the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup and the Toronto Region Conservation Authority for their assistance in this event.

Thank you for those who came out to May 6th shoreline cleanup!

Huge thank you to everyone who joined SCB-Toronto, Shoreline cleanup, and the U of T trash team to clean up the Don River on May 6th.

It was very rewarding to see so many people get involved to make a difference and engage in some conservation outreach! We got a mention in a local paper!

Missed the cleanup? Stay tuned for a follow-up cleanup on June 10th!IMG_20180506_120718878
